Empire Avenue
{EAV:afd480a08670e807}
Lately I've been having a lot of fun with Empire Avenue. It's a stock market game where you "invest" Eaves (their dollars) in other people's social networking value as others do the same for you. Unlock achievments and connect with others throughout many several social networks. You can check out Empire Avenue and invest in me as (e)GEOCACHER.

And to think I drank this stuff for years. Thankfully I switched to water and juice recently. And beer. :)
The FDA limit for brominated oil in sodas is based on outdated data from the 1970s, so scientists say the chemical deserves a fresh look. Their concern is that it builds up in tissues, and may have the same effects as brominated flame retardants. After a few extreme soda binges — not too far from what many gamers regularly consume – a few patients have needed medical attention for skin lesions, memory loss and nerve disorders, all symptoms of overexposure to bromine. Other studies suggest that BVO could be building up in human tissues, just like other brominated compounds such as flame retardants. In mouse studies, big doses caused reproductive and behavioral problems.
Flame Retardant in Mountain Dew
From the Environmental Health News:
Patented by chemical companies as a flame retardant, and banned in food throughout Europe and Japan, BVO has been added to sodas for decades in North America. Now some scientists have a renewed interest in this little-known ingredient, found in 10 percent of sodas in the United States. The FDA limit for brominated oil in sodas is based on outdated data from the 1970s, so scientists say the chemical deserves a fresh look. Noisetrade - Free Music Downloads
Wondering where to grab free music on the internet, but tired of spammy links or *gasp* torrent results? Head over to NoiseTrade, a spot for artists to showcase their works and for music lovers to legally download for free everything on the site. You're suggested to offer a cash tip if you like their work, and is more than deserving for most of the artists I've seen on the site. You can follow NoiseTrade on twitter at @noisetrade and become a fan of their Facebook page as well.

Coldplay in New York City
I had a great time as a guest at SiriusXM's The Spectrum Town Hall with Coldplay in New York City! 20 lucky SiriusXM subscribers got to ask questions to the band live on the air. I was a bit nervous at first but really enjoyed myself once the show got started. The band members seemed personable and quite witty. My friend Debbie and I took the Greyhound from DC for the day. What a great time! It's amazing the opportunities that come your way when you give just a bit of effort... :)

"A lack of a daily tonic of gratitude results in an anemic soul, which, in turn, contributes to a physical sense of listlessness. A grateful soul, on the other hand, is vibrant and animated and so permeates your body with zest and with an enjoyment of a life littered with gifts."
~~ Edward Hays

The beauty of this holiday is that the celebration does not have to be reserved for one day a year. We connect with our sense of bounty and abundance when we practice an “attitude of gratitude” on a daily basis. This is a ritual of celebration that we can carry with us all year through.
Happy Thanksgiving!

“To affect the quality of the day, that is the highest of the arts.” ~~ Henry David Thoreau
Artists typically work with a specific medium to create their incredible works of art - paper,
clay, paint, film, voice, instruments, the stage - the mediums are endless, as are their creations.
Maybe you don’t consider yourself artistic, but you most definitely are an artist when you inject
your unique flair into what you do, and how you do it, especially when you use the everyday moments
of life as your medium.
Transforming a frown into a smile, a difficult moment into a cherished memory, an ordinary day into
something extraordinary, a meal into a feast, a simple gathering into a celebration, and a problem
into an opportunity are all examples of amazing works
of art. Life is, after all, art.
What art will you create this week?
